The Mentor program matches trained adult volunteers with Inspire Youth Project children and teens. Mentoring provides opportunities for youth to develop essential social and life skills, recognize their own strengths and interests, and grow in confidence.
Magic Circle Support Groups
Magic Circle offers children ages 5-10 with support groups focused on teaching social emotional learning. Magic Circle provides children with a sense of belonging and opportunities to grow their social-emotional skills resulting in more positive relationships with adults and peers, the ability to make healthy life choices, and increased self-esteem and self-awareness.
Camp Rise n’ Shine provides children and teens with an opportunity to experience traditional camp activities in an environment that is safe, loving, and free of the stigma Inspire Youth Project youth might face in other camp settings. At Camp Rise n’ Shine, children and teens grow their sense of belonging within the Inspire Youth Project community, practice social and life skills, learn positive relationships with supportive adults and other authority figures, and increase their self-esteem.
Inner Circle recognizes and honors those young people that have demonstrated long-term commitment to Inspire Youth Project by persisting through Inspire Youth Project programs until they reach the formal limit of Inspire Youth Project’s service age (18). Inner circle gives young adults a sense of continuity in the community they grew up in but also provides pathways for them to give back to the organization.
Teen Leadership Program
The Teen Program continues the mission(s) of previous programs but also provides avenues to adult living through workshops and connections to community resources. The Teen Program helps young people make the transition from childhood to adulthood by establishing positive social relationships and by providing opportunities for skill building.
Holiday Giving Program
The Holiday Giving Program provides children, teens, and families a place to celebrate the holiday season with the Inspire Youth Project community. Participants receive holiday gifts from community donors and are invited to an annual holiday party complete with cheer, merriment, and a wonderful holiday meal.
Janet L. Trinkaus Scholarship
The Janet L. Trinkaus Memorial Scholarship is the apotheosis of Inspire Youth Project Programming whereby program participants are awarded a scholarship in honor of Inspire Youth Project’s visionary founder, the name sake of the award. This award will further supplement Inspire Youth Project’s commitment to helping youth succeed in their school and career goals.
